How to generate a Euclidean drum rhythm

  1. Choose a starting orbit or begin from the custom four-track pattern.
  2. Set steps, pulses and rotation independently for kick, snare, hat and percussion.
  3. Set BPM, swing, bar count, kit character, track levels, mute, probability, accents and seed; open any step grid for explicit overrides.
  4. Render and play locally, then export exact WAV, MP3, valid MIDI or JSON.

Even pulse gaps with deliberate exceptions

The Bjรถrklund construction recursively groups onsets and rests so a requested number of pulses occupies the available steps as evenly as integer spacing permits. For example, E(3,8) produces 10010010 and E(5,13) produces 1001010010100. Rotation shifts the completed orbit without changing its internal gaps.

Grid overrides happen after generation and rotation. Each button cycles through Auto, Force on and Force off, so intentional syncopation is explicit and reversible. Once an override is used, the final track is no longer claimed to be strictly Euclidean.

Different from Beat Maker, Metronome and Bassline Generator

A Euclidean rhythm distributes a chosen number of pulses across a chosen number of steps as evenly as possible. The gaps between neighboring pulses differ by at most one step before manual overrides, which creates useful balanced rhythms from simple integer pairs.
How is this different from Beat Maker, Metronome and Bassline Generator?

Are probability and accents repeatable?
