1. Controller and contact.
The controller responsible for AudioWrench visitor data is:

2. What stays on your device.
When you choose an audio, video or image file in a standard AudioWrench tool, the browser reads it into local memory. Web Audio API, WebAssembly and JavaScript perform the requested edit, analysis or export on the device. The application has no upload endpoint for those files and the controller does not receive their contents.
Some features use browser-controlled storage after you ask to save or continue work:
- Session and cache storage — temporary interface state and an offline application shell. You can remove both by clearing AudioWrench site data in your browser.
- Browser-managed model cache — optional AI resources requested by you may be cached by the browser or model runtime.
- IndexedDB — BalanceDAW projects and user samples; when you explicitly choose Continue editing, Local Workspace also keeps the latest audio output so another AudioWrench tool can use it without an upload. That handoff expires after 24 hours and is removed the next time AudioWrench runs.
This local content is not transmitted to AudioWrench. It remains until the feature or browser removes it, or until you clear site data in your browser settings. Anyone with access to your browser profile or device may be able to access locally stored projects, so use a protected device for sensitive work.
3. Data, purposes, legal bases and retention.

Providing a file to a local tool is optional and does not provide that file to the controller. Sending an email is also optional, but without the necessary contact details we cannot reply.
4. Providers and feature-specific exceptions.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare provides DNS, proxy/CDN, security and Pages hosting. It processes network traffic required to deliver AudioWrench, including IP and request metadata. Cloudflare may process data globally; its current safeguards and data-subject information are described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. Cloudflare's Network Error Logging can receive technical network-condition reports; Cloudflare states that this pipeline does not log the client IP address.
Cloudflare publishes a Customer DPA incorporated into eligible customer agreements, including SCC modules, and a current subprocessor list.
jsDelivr and Hugging Face
Whisper transcription, Kokoro text-to-speech and the optional neural Vocal Remover mode request open-source engines or model files when you select that mode and start the operation. Resource requests may go to jsDelivr (Volentio JSD Limited) and Hugging Face, Inc. These providers receive normal network metadata such as IP address and request headers. Their current processing practices are described in the jsDelivr Privacy Policy and Hugging Face Privacy Policy.
After those resources download, model inference runs in the browser and AudioWrench does not send the selected audio to an inference API. Live Speech to Text, system Text to Speech and Voice Cloning output can use a browser or operating-system Web Speech provider; depending on the selected voice or browser, that provider may receive microphone audio or typed text. The relevant tool shows this distinction before use, and Voice Cloning never sends the reference recording.
5. Cookies and similar storage.
AudioWrench currently does not load advertising pixels, behavioural-marketing tags or a cross-site visitor identifier. The application does not require an AudioWrench account cookie.
Session storage and the explicitly requested IndexedDB/model-cache uses listed above support features you request: saving a project or sample, carrying one explicitly kept audio output between tools, and keeping a requested model available locally. AudioWrench relies on the storage exception only where access is technically necessary to deliver the feature requested by the user. You can forget a Local Workspace output in its source card or delete site data in your browser settings. Clearing it may remove saved samples, projects and model files.
Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security or challenge cookies when its protection mechanisms require them. These cookies protect the site and are not used by AudioWrench for behavioural advertising; see Cloudflare's cookie documentation.
If non-essential advertising or marketing measurement is introduced later, it will be disabled until the legally required user choice is obtained, and this notice will be updated before activation.
6. Recipients and transfers outside the EEA.
Depending on the feature used, data may be received by Cloudflare, jsDelivr and its CDN subprocessors, or Hugging Face. Public authorities may receive data only when required by applicable law.
Cloudflare and Hugging Face are US-based providers and jsDelivr uses a global CDN network. This can involve processing outside the European Economic Area. The linked provider documents describe the processing practices and safeguards each provider currently publishes; they do not by themselves establish one transfer mechanism for every request. You may contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to a specific AudioWrench processing operation.
7. Your GDPR rights.
Where the GDPR applies and its conditions are met, you may request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data; restriction of processing; data portability; or object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Send a request to kontakt@balanceit.pl. We may need enough information to verify that the request concerns you. You also have the right to complain to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
8. Automated decisions and sale of data.
AudioWrench does not use personal data to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects, does not profile visitors for advertising, and does not sell personal data. Audio tools transform content according to settings chosen by the user; their DSP or AI output is not a decision about the user.
9. Changes to this notice.
We will update this page when the service, providers or legal requirements materially change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material new processing will not be hidden behind a retrospective wording change.
