A phaser, not a flanger or moving EQ

Each stage is an all-pass filter: its magnitude response stays flat on its own, but its phase response changes around the selected frequency. Mixing the cascaded signal with the dry path turns that phase shift into notches. The LFO moves the all-pass coefficients, so those notches sweep over time.

No short audio delay line is used, so this is not a chorus or flanger. It also does not automate gain bands like an equalizer. Feedback routes a bounded portion of the previous all-pass output back into the cascade to emphasize the moving resonances.

What does a phaser do to audio?
A phaser passes audio through all-pass filters whose phase shift moves over time, then mixes that signal with the dry audio. Phase cancellation creates moving spectral notches without using the short delay line that defines flanging.
How do stages, sweep and feedback change the sound?
More all-pass stages create a more complex phase response and more notches. Center frequency and sweep range choose where those notches travel. Feedback reinforces the resonant edges around them, so high settings sound sharper.
What is stereo phase in a phaser?
Stereo phase offsets the right-channel modulation cycle from the left. Zero degrees makes matched channels sweep together; larger offsets create left-right movement while preserving the source channel count.
Is my audio uploaded, and what do WAV and MP3 export contain?
