What is an audio amplitude envelope?
It is a time series describing how the signal level changes. The values can drive automation, modulation, animation or analysis.
What is the difference between RMS, peak and absolute?
RMS represents window energy, peak keeps the largest absolute sample in each window, and absolute averages rectified sample magnitude.
What do mid and side extract?
Mid combines left and right, while side measures their difference. Side is zero for identical stereo channels and for a duplicated mono signal.
Is the MIDI export a standard file?
Yes. It is a format-0 Standard MIDI File containing tempo metadata, time-positioned Control Change events on the selected channel and an End of Track event.
