Volume Booster.
Make quiet audio louder with up to +36 dB of gain, optional soft clipping or saturation, and a dynamics stage for peak control. Use the live waveform and meters to preview before export.
DYNAMICS MAP
Loudness Gain Path
Follow the level decision, not just the waveform. The important story is how the detector reacts, where gain starts moving and whether the result stays controlled without flattening the performance.

- Quiet audio
Start with the right material
Making a low-level voice note, demo or reference track easier to hear.
- Boost with protection
Understand the transformation
Gain feeds a waveshaper and an optional DynamicsCompressor-based limiting stage.
- Louder render
Verify the usable result
A louder local render using the gain and protection settings selected in the interface.
Where this workflow stops
Extra gain also raises noise and existing distortion. The protection stage is not a certified true-peak limiter, so aggressive settings can still sound clipped or crushed.
Make the final decision by ear
- Compare at matched loudness so βlouderβ is not mistaken for βbetterβ.
- Inspect the loudest transient and the quietest useful detail.
- Leave enough headroom for the next processing or delivery stage.
How to boost the volume of an audio file
- Drop your file into the upload box β the tool measures and shows its current peak level.
- Pick a preset or set the gain manually up to +36 dB; start low and compare the loudest section.
- Press Apply effect; the result shows input and output peaks so you can see the change.
- Preview the louder version, then download it as MP3 or WAV.
This volume booster helps with recordings captured too quietly: voice memos, lectures, distant interviews or files that play softer than the rest of a library. Gain can feed an optional waveshaper and Web Audio dynamics processor to reduce high sample peaks. This is not a certified true-peak or guaranteed brick-wall limiter, so aggressive settings can still pump, flatten transients or create distortion. Preview the loudest passage and back off when needed. Processing stays local.
For boosting only the low end rather than the whole signal, use Bass Boost; for reshaping tone band by band, the 10-band Audio EQ is the right tool. If background hiss gets loud along with the voice, run the file through the Noise Remover first.
Volume Booster: quick answer and technical limits
Quick answer: A gain tool that raises quiet audio and can add soft saturation plus dynamics control when peaks get dense.
- Best for
- Making a low-level voice note, demo or reference track easier to hear.
- How it works
- Gain feeds a waveshaper and an optional DynamicsCompressor-based limiting stage.
- What you get
- A louder local render using the gain and protection settings selected in the interface.
Know before you use it: Extra gain also raises noise and existing distortion. The protection stage is not a certified true-peak limiter, so aggressive settings can still sound clipped or crushed.
