Binaural Beats.

Generate a stereo binaural beat, adjust carrier and difference frequencies, blend pink noise and export a session. Preset names describe conventional bands, not guaranteed effects.

STEREO FIELD MAP

Binaural Frequency Split

Read width and phase as one spatial decision. The useful view is not simply left versus right; it is the relationship between channels, the center image and what survives a mono fold-down.

  1. Start with the right material

Audio demonstrations, meditation sound design and personal listening experiments.

  2. Understand the transformation

Two local oscillators create the carrier and frequency difference independently for each stereo channel.

  3. Verify the usable result

A stereo session whose perceived beating depends on headphones and the selected frequencies.

Interaural difference

Where this workflow stops

Headphones are required for the intended channel separation. The tool does not diagnose, treat or guarantee focus, relaxation, sleep or other health outcomes.

THREE-PASS CHECK

Make the final decision by ear

  • Confirm the center stays anchored for important lead material.
  • Fold to mono before export and listen for disappearing detail.
  • Prefer modest width changes when the source already carries phase complexity.

How to use the binaural beats generator

  1. Put on headphones โ€” the effect only works when each ear hears its own tone.
  2. Pick a conventional preset label such as Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta or Gamma, or set the difference frequency manually.
  3. Fine-tune the carrier and beat frequency sliders, and blend in a little pink noise if you like.
  4. Press Play, set a sleep timer if you want, or export a 1, 5 or 10-minute session to listen offline.

This generator plays two sine tones, one to each stereo channel, with a small frequency difference that can be perceived as a pulse when using headphones. Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta and Gamma are conventional preset labels; they do not guarantee sleep, focus, relaxation or a particular brain state, and research on practical outcomes is mixed. The live readout shows both channel frequencies. Add pink noise, set a timer or export a local session, keeping playback at a comfortable level.

Binaural Beats: quick answer and technical limits

Quick answer: A stereo tone generator that places slightly different sine frequencies in the left and right channels, with optional pink noise.

Best for
Audio demonstrations, meditation sound design and personal listening experiments.
How it works
Two local oscillators create the carrier and frequency difference independently for each stereo channel.
What you get
A stereo session whose perceived beating depends on headphones and the selected frequencies.

FAQ

Do binaural beats really need headphones?
Yes, headphones are essential. A binaural beat works because each ear hears a slightly different tone and your brain perceives the difference between them. On speakers the two tones mix in the air before they reach your ears, so the effect disappears. Any stereo headphones or earbuds will do.
Which binaural beat preset should I choose?
The Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta and Gamma names are conventional preset labels, not promises of sleep, focus or a particular brain state. Research on practical outcomes is mixed. Choose by listening comfort and keep expectations modest.
Can I download a binaural beats session to play offline?
Yes. Choose a length of 1, 5 or 10 minutes and export the session to MP3 or WAV. The file is rendered with your exact carrier, beat and noise settings and includes gentle fades, so you can loop it on a phone or music player without needing a connection.
Are binaural beats a medical or proven focus tool?
No. This is a sound generator, not a medical treatment or clinically validated focus or sleep tool. Keep the volume comfortable, stop if you feel discomfort, and do not use distracting audio while driving or operating machinery. Ask a qualified clinician about personal health concerns.
