What the key changer preserves — and what it cannot
The renderer uses bounded WSOLA-style overlap-add time stretching followed by linear resampling into the original decoded frame count. The output receipt verifies its sample frames, sample rate, channels and duration delta. Major or minor mode is preserved because a uniform pitch shift moves every note by the same interval; this tool does not rewrite harmony from major to minor.
Tempo and duration are targeted, but vocal formants are not preserved. Bigger changes can make voices sound smaller or larger, and transient-heavy or polyphonic mixes can reveal grain, phase smear or softened attacks. The re-analyzed output key is another statistical estimate, not proof of musical correctness. Compare Original, Processed and Difference previews and prefer the smallest useful move.
